Reproducible builds
Every release can be traced back to the exact code that went into it. A release is a build tag, v<version>-<version code>, and the build repository carries that tag with every app and service repository pinned to the commit that shipped. Check the build repository out at the tag and you have the exact source of the release, ready to build.
